Don’t forget people, Live Night happens tomorrow night (Saturday 9th June) starting at 8pm. I’m sure we can accomodate a couple more people but let me know as soon as to avoid being left out.

So it’s been a while since we did one, but we’ve got a perfect excuse this time. Although to be fair, we never normally need excuses to get on Live! The fact that it’s Live Night No.3 should give you a good idea what we’re planning on doing as well.

The plan is simple. As the beta for Halo 3 runs out on June 10th, we thought we’d give it one last crack before Bungie remove the reason why many people bought Crackdown in the first place.

Here’s the main facts you need to know:

• Date - Saturday, June 9th, 2007
• Time - 8pm GMT
• Game Mode - Big Team Battle Training

As always, if you don’t already have one of us on your friends list, just send a request along to myself (gamertag is ‘boidster’) with a brief message saying you want in on Saturday. That way, I’ll be able to pick you out from the random people I sometimes get wanting to add me because I happened to say hello to them in a game.

Once we’re set up and ready to go, I’ll then make sure invites are chucked out to you all as the room will be set to invite only. Then sit back and enjoy fragging us all to hell and back. Maybe with the exception of Paul, as he’s actually pretty decent!

Ok, so maybe that’s a wee bit too dramatic, but I just wanted to say on behalf of all three of us here at GBS towers, thank you to all of you readers who took the time out to join us on Thursday night.

Thank you also to Andrew McCaskey of Slashdot Review for his plugging of the site and the Live Night event, much appreciated my friend!

To any of you who didn’t turn up, hopefully you’ll be able to make it to our next one.  This time though, we’ll try not to leave it two months before trying again, although it’ll be at least a couple of weeks as our Phil is off on his business travels again next week back to Africa.  As soon as he’s back in good ole Blighty, we’ll get some more dates set out for the next few months or so.

So it’s been a while since we last tried out our blog gathering, and we thought it was time to open up our Xbox Live doors and welcome you all in.

This time we’re going to make it even easier to get involved.  No sign ups, no agreeing to sign your life away with spam for till the end of time, no confirming involvement with your house/car/game collection down as security should you not show.*

All we want you to do is make a note of the date and the time, then just get your virtual butt on Live to join in.  The all important date is:

We haven’t even decided which games we’ll be playing yet, because to be honest we don’t even know what each other has anymore!  You see, we don’t do slick and professional around here, just as and when.  It works better that way we feel.
*We didn’t actually ask for these things before, although now I wish I had done. Could do with a new car!

Hi everybody!

Just thought I’d drop a quick post to let you know we haven’t disappeared off the face of the planet.  At the moment things are a little hectic for The Good, The Bald and The Stupid, which sadly means that our blogging time is somewhat restricted.

On a side note, thanks to those who turned up for the Live Night on the 22nd Feb.  It turned out to be a small affair, but hopefully for the next one more of you will want to get involved in what was a great night!

As soon as we have another date set, be sure that an announcement will follow on these here pages.

Meantime, stick with us, and we’ll be back in full effect in the very near future.

Don’t forget people, that the first ever Live Night is happening this Thursday (22nd Feb).  If you’ve already signed up make sure your around for our start time of 8pm, although you are of course welcome to join us at any time.

Kidding, there is still time to register your tag with us, and it couldn’t be simpler.  Just send a friend request to one of us over Xbox Live along with a message, voice or text, doesn’t matter which, saying that you want in.  To find our tags click on the GBS Live Night link near the top of the page.

As for what we’ll be playing, we’re looking to get a list of games up by tomorrow afternoon in case any of you want to have a peruse, but suggestions on the night are also welcomed.
