Good god, he finally posts again!

October 28th, 2007 by Duncan Simpson

Due to a technical hitch (read as numpty-me forgetting my password to log in to the admin panel!) I’ve been quiet on here lately.

Oh yes, I’m back! Thank you Phil!

First, big thanks to Paul and Phil for their SMS support, and messages on here.  It is really appreciated guys!

Yes as you read I am now a Dad for the first time.  I’ll be putting up a post on my personal blog in a couple of days (link to which is on the right) to give you guys all the details.  Well this is a tech/gadget/gaming based blog after all!

So just a short one from me at the moment, mainly as I’m so tired, the keys on my keyboard are beginning to melt into each other in front of my eyes.  However, you can expect more posts from me now on everything from The Orange Box, to the value of Tens machines, and my new found lack of gadget money.

Good Authority (part 2)

October 28th, 2007 by paul

A massive congratulations to Claire and Duncan, who are now the proud parents of a baby…well, I’ll let Duncan explain all when he gets around to it! I’m assuming he’s the happiest man around at the moment (God help him in a few years) and Gemma and myself have been toasting the new arrival since around 1pm today! So much for getting the work that needed doing, done!

I have it on good authority…

October 28th, 2007 by Phil Collins

… that our close friend Duncan “Boidster” Simpson and his good lady wife are just moments away from becoming proud parents!

I would toast the occasion with a spirit or two but it’s a little early!

Please join me in congratulating the proud new parents!

Back to the good old days…

October 20th, 2007 by Phil Collins

… of games being about gameplay and not the latest block-shaded-texture-mapped-lighting-bumped graphical masterpiece. I am of course talking about E4 (and not the TV channel either).

What a game. It is an absolute masterpiece of gameplay and for anyone who’s delved deeper into the game how brilliant is the ability to sync up your own music tracks and explode to those beats as well! Frankly it’s brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

I was quite looking forward to Speedball 2 but I think those rose-tinted-glasses were shrouding history in some loving glow - unfortunately it wasn’t as good as I remember and was quickly deleted from the hard drive. It makes me wonder if Sensible Soccer is being wrapped in that very same glow. Only time will tell I guess.
However, for now keep those great new gameplay driven games coming. Less of the Ecco the Dolphin range and more of the E4, Marble Blast and Jewel Quest. (And where is Jewel Quest 2?)

I’m back, oh yes, I’m back.

October 18th, 2007 by Phil Collins

And I would type more about my latest trip to Eritrea but I’m knackered now after typing a little but too much of a blog on my other .. er .. blog.

However, one quick thing - and this is for Paul and Luke - 7 days, 19 hours. Oh yes. It’s coming.

(Why is it no-one ever got this excited about Vista?)

(This was typed on a Vista laptop.)

(They wouldn’t let me buy a mac laptop!)
